SHIREBROOK COMMUNITY FORUM EVENT 27TH SEPTEMBER 2007
The feedback received from the residents who attended this event has been collated and looked at. Overall, the majority of those at the Forum found it to be very interesting and useful.
Following a brief introduction by Councillor Keith Bowman
, Bolsover District Council Cabinet Member for Housing Management, the audience was addressed by Bolsover District Council's Chief Executive Officer, Wes Lumley
.
Wes explained that there were issues of concern to local residents that the Council and its partners were already aware of but would welcome further issues from residents.
The audience was then invited to talk with Elected Members, Senior Officers of the Council and representatives from the various Action Groups including Derbyshire Police and The Primary Care Trust around the 6 themes (Health, Education, Housing and the Environment, Employment and Training, Crime and Transport and Access).

Councillor Bowman said "The residents in the East of the District brought many good ideas with them. The issues raised are very important to us and we will act on what the residents told us. It is vital that we all continue to talk to each other and we at the Council will ensure we continue to improve the services we deliver. We don't pretend to know all of the answers, but by talking together, we can find solutions that will help local communities."
