Strategic thinking
To try to align the work of the Partnership to those important issues that local people think (through consultation) need addressing, the Partnership has created five strategic areas known as Action Groups.
The priorities of the Local Strategic Partnership are delivered by the five Action Groups who control and deliver action plans for different aspects of life in the district.
The links below provide further information about each of the Action Groups.
To deliver the Community Strategy, Action Groups have produced themed annual Action Plans setting out the detailed objectives, actions and targets.
Each Action Group leads on the delivery of one of the themes or sub-themes of the Strategy
.
The Board has overall responsibility for ensuring the Strategy is delivered, and the Executive Support Group, or the engine of the LSP, monitors progress against the priorities. The Action Groups and wider partnerships have responsibility for delivering specific areas of the strategy.
The Bolsover Community Safety Strategy Group is the Crime Reduction Partnership for the area covered by Bolsover District. It is a partnership of many key agencies and organisations working together to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in the district.
The Education and Training Group is made up of local partners in education such as the Local Education Authority (LEA) and Learning and Skills Council (LSC) working together to improve examination and test results and basic skills and qualifications for work and aim towards education availability for all.
The Employment and Enterprise Group's key issue is to create an environment in which Bolsover would become a better place for businesses to start, survive, grow and flourish.
The Health and Wellbeing Group aims to improve health and reduce the health inequalities which affect the people living in the District of Bolsover.
The Housing and Environment Group's main role is to encourage Partnership working to help develop new opportunities and build upon existing work relating to housing and the environment. This group deals with strategic issues relevant to housing and its future in the district. The membership of this group reflects a very wide participation of stakeholders from the public, private, voluntary sectors, the police, health authorities and the community.
The Transport Group aims to tackle transportation and accessibility issues within Bolsover, North East Derbyshire and Chesterfield.
