The next (third) round of Community Forums will concentrate on the subject of Crime and Community Safety.
Bolsover District is the second safest area in Derbyshire as far as crime is concerned. Cabinet Member for Community Safety, Brian Murray-Carr
, said " This doesn't mean that we should become complacent and the forums will demonstrate how members of the public can be even safer within their homes and communities"
Inspector Ian Palfreyman, Community Safety Inspector for the district added "We want members of our communities to feel safe. There has been a slight rise in the number of distraction burglaries over the recent months and we want to show people how they can avoid becoming a victim of this sort of crime. The numbers are small but we would like to see them smaller still"
The Forums will take place as shown in the table below. The first half hour will be devoted to Citizens Surgeries where members of the public can speak with officers of Bolsover Council, Derbyshire County Council, Police, Fire Service and the Primary Care Trust over any issues they may have.

There will be free security equipment available for those attending the Forums, such as door chains, window alarms and personal safety alarms.
Demonstrations will be shown to show members of the public how to avoid being a victim of crime by taking just a few simple steps.
Derbyshire Fire and Rescue will also be there to give practical advice on fire prevention and what to do if the unthinkable happens and you discover a fire in your home.
The photograph below shows Group Manager Dave Hutchinson (Derbyshire Fire & Rescue), Councillor Brian Murray-Carr and Inspector Ian Palfreyman with some of the security devices on offer.
