COMMUNITY FORUMS
A New Way to Have Your Say





Bolsover Local Strategic Partnership, together with Bolsover District Council and Derbyshire County Council are holding Community Forums throughout the district to give local residents and citizens the opportunity to raise and discuss any issues of concern they may have.
The aim of the forums is to:
"Provide an opportunity for local people to raise and discuss issues of local interest and receive information on how any concerns will be addressed and opportunities developed."
Through the forums, the partner organisations will aim to:
¨ Listen and respond to what local residents tell us.
¨ Inform local residents about issues of interest.
¨ Consult and encourage engagement on topics of relevance to local residents.
¨ Tell local residents about other ways they can give us their views.
The Forums will take place three times a year in four areas, 12 a year in all, and will be in the North, South, Central West and Central East of the district.
The first four dates set are:
Following a short presentation, where residents will be able to find out what has been achieved by the partner organisations, they will be able to help shape what the priorities for the forums should be.
The themes for the first round of Forums will be:
- Employment
- Transport and Access
- Crime
- Health
- Education
- Housing
Citizens Surgeries will provide the chance for residents to talk one-to-one with senior officers from the partnership organisations, Elected Members and Chairs of the Bolsover Local Strategic Partnership Action Groups together with representatives from Derbyshire Constabulary and Derbyshire County Primary Care Trust.
