A Local Public Service Agreements (LPSA) is a voluntary three year agreement between the Government and an individual local authority, which aims to improve local services.
When developing its LPSA, a local authority identifies areas that require attention based on the priorities set out in its Community Strategy and corporate plan. Once the LPSA is agreed, Government provides financial rewards when outcomes are achieved.
