10 Apr 2007 - Partnership Chair and Vice-Chair re-elected
Mandy, Assistant Director of Public Health for Derbyshire Primary Care Trust was first elected as Chair in 2005. Mandy said afterwards "The partnership is not just about one or two people, it's about working together to make our communities better places for people to live. I am delighted and honoured, not only to have been re-elected, but to be part of the tremendous work that has been achieved over the past year. We have now reviewed what progress we have made within the Sustainable Community Strategy and as a result, have identified how we can build on our achievements”
Eion, who is also the Leader of Bolsover District Council, has been Vice-Chair since 2003.
"The Partnership" he said,” is all about giving our residents and the voluntary sector, the choices to make things happen. Without the determination and hard work of all members of the partnership, much of what has been achieved during 2006 would not have happened. Our priorities for the coming year have now been decided and, even though it means hard work, I have no doubt that we will meet those targets.”
