03 Jun 2007 - Shirebrook Youngsters getting on Track
TEN young people from Shirebrook today completed an 18 week course which included training in ICT, Literacy, Work skills, team building, personal development and a one day per week work placement with local businesses.
This was the fourth such course that has been delivered by Route 4 Young People. Those taking part on the course are all aged between 16 18 years and receive up to £40 per week training allowance. The course is managed by Derbyshire County Council and part funded by the Bolsover Local Strategic Partnership
At a celebration event at Route 4 Young People at the Community Education Centre on
Langwith Road
, Shirebrook, all ten received a range of certificates in recognition of their achievements. The certificates were presented by Cllr Marion Stockdale,
