A successful Local Enterprise Growth Initiative (LEGI) bid entitled 'Alliance Enterprise Exchange' has ensured £3.8 million for Ashfield, Bolsover and Mansfield.
LEGI is a pot of funding from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) designed to assist districts in receipt of Neighbourhood Renewal Funding (NRF) to really focus on increasing entrepreneurial activity.
The bid was designed with 3 key aims:
- Promote entrepreneurial ethos
- Providing access to employment for local people
- Enhancing the performance of local businesses.
The LEGI funding will be used to develop a co-ordinated and targeted approach to removing the barriers to enterprise and economic growth.
