About Eion

 

Eion Watts is the Vice Chair of Bolsover LSP and also the Leader of Bolsover District Council with significant responsibility for policy and  strategy. These roles are important in helping facilitate a co-ordinated multi-agency approach to issues facing the district, through the Community Strategy and the Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy amongst others including the Council's work with and as part of the LSP.
Eion was elected as Vice-Chair in April 2006. He has been a District Councillor since 1987 and served as Deputy Leader of the council for 8 years before becoming Leader in May 2003. During this time he has served on various committees and has gained a vast knowledge, particularly in personnel, best value and economic regeneration issues.
